How can I get the drum track to play all the way to the end of the song. I'm importing complete song as wav file, just need to add drums. But Real Drum track ends about 3/4 way through.

Thanks

Likely because you have not set the END of song to the same number of bars as the end of the wave file.

The default is "32" bars and the number block Buttpn for End setting is to the right of the Songtitle window.

Thanks, Mac. I think I tried that, but will try again So Start is 1 and end is whatever bar marker the wav file ends on.

I still can not get a Real Drum track to last more than 32 bars. I open the chords window scroll to the last bar, bar 70 on this particular song. I double click the last bar number. Then I click the end block to the lower right of the title bar and enter 1 for start an 70 for end.. 2 Bar ending is unchecked. Bar off set is at-2 In song settings everything is checked.

Still drum track ends at 32 bars. What am I missing here?

Are you regenerating the real drum track again when you change those settings?

Probably not, or you would get a message when re-generating, but the Real Drum track isn't frozen by any chance?

If you have already loaded perhaps a MIDI file, or even all audio file, that file may be what is determining the End of Song stop point.

One trick I've used in the past is to Edit those existing tracks, by adding bars to them and then inserting one MIDI event, such as a note, at the very end. This can fool the transport. Later on that one Event can of course be removed.

Try a new blank track.
My guess is that track is set to be a BB track (blue in RB) and follows the Song Generation settings.

Either that or select Track - Make all BB tracks regular tracks. Then you can control them like you are trying.

However 'auto generate' features are affected, sometimes adversely as you may be noticing. If that is the issue.

This happens when opening a BiaB file in RB .. it brings in whatever BB settings it can.

Better yet, instead of the chord window, use the From-Thru box in RB as the definitive setting. On my system this prompts different behavior, more like you expected.

See below, where bar setting is 59 and From-Thru shows 58-1-100
It generated to From-Thru settings as you can see

I have had similar things happen when I generate any new real track instrument.

Here's what to do: Right click on an existing track and choose the option "SELECT THE ENTIRE TRACK" so it turns a darker color. Look at the tracks in the project to pick the longest one from the bunch to do this on.

Now, when you click on a new empty track to select it and choose a new instrument or drums..... they will be rendered to the proper length of the song and end in the correct place.

In the post above this one, track 1 appears to be the longest one and it has been selected. It's midi but that doesn't matter. The same rules apply if the project, when opened in RB, is rendered out as all audio waves.

Or 'ctrl + a' to select all. Often faster than going into the right click options.
Either one should work

If it helps, in RB it's called 'Select Whole Track' in the right-click options.
I still take a look at the From-Thru settings afterwards .. just a habit.
