I just got off the phone with PGMusic. I wanted to order a printed manual for BIAB2014, but was informed that it's only about 60 pages - In other words, it covers only the new/changed features introduced in 2014. I asked whether a printed version of the full 600-odd page PDF file that's included with the latest patch of BIAB was available, and was told that NO, it is not.  This seems to be a departure from past years. I really hate to look things up in PDF files and prefer a printed manual. Does anyone know of an economical way to have the PDF manual printed and spiral bound? Thanks!

Find someone that works in an office that has a nice duplex printer. Have them print it double-sided and hole punch it.

Look into one of the tablets that are able to store and display .pdf files, man. Wonderful things, very low cost, very portable, likely cheaper than having it printed and bound on paper.

I have the full manual that came with the shipped Floppy Disk version. Your welcome to a copy. My original version must be worth quite a bit now.

--Mac This is very good advice! I have a color Nook that has all of my PDF manuals on it. It is much easier to read than reading from a computer screen IMHO. Plus I do believe that paper manuals are being a thing of the past, even though I also prefer them. One good thing about my Nook is that I can take it to my porcelain reading room!
OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

Ctrl+F doesn't work as well on a printed manual.

Find someone that works in an office that has a nice duplex printer. Have them print it double-sided and hole punch it. Just don't forget to find out how to reimburse said company for the paper, ink or toner, printer wear & tear and most importantly the friends hourly rate since, whatever they were supposed to be doing will be put off, superseded, or simply dropped to print your manual. And I really hope said friend is not a federal government worker, government contractor, or active duty military because misuse of government IT equipment and resources is actually a crime punishable by a fine, imprisonment, termination of employment, or all three. --Mac Good thought. Priniting and binding could be quite expensive. (I would think that a place like Staples would do it, but the cost would be pretty high.) I have an iPad and have transferred a number of shorter PDF files to it. The problem is that I feel that navigating thru a large PDF for specific information on screen (whether on a laptop PC or an iPad) is kind of a PITA. For reference materials (which is what the manual is), I still prefer the old dead-wood (printed page) technology for jumping from page to page. That said, however, perhaps I could get used to it on the iPad. Which specific PDF-reader app do you guys recommend for this? My main dislike about onscreen reading is when you go to a different page to look something up, it's not obvious how to return to the page you were. If there's an app that makes that easy, that might be the way to go. Thanks.

Ctrl+F doesn't work as well on a printed manual. Pencils don't work real well on tablets to supplement the notoriously incomplete PG-supplied PDF. That's why I want a printed manual.

The manual does look pretty good on my tablet and phone though. Later, Ray
