Well - I put my grand daughter (CoCo) to work on another project with me. Pay back for the piano lessons I paid for. I figure in a year and a half when she starts driving - I will never see her again. We had a lot of fun putting this one together. Might need a little tweakin' yet - but we think we have a good start. We got a little long on this one - but didn't want to take anything out. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7685323

I can picture the young folk out in the yard doin' a doe-see-doe to this, and the old ones sitting on the porch slappin their thighs and clapping. I wondered where you went to. I am glad you found some time for some music again. Sure feels good, don't it? You and CoCo did a good job on this one. Her voice is starting to mature. At one point in the song, maybe the 3rd or 4th verse, where she says, "...the times were a little rough..." she had a bit of rough in her voice. I liked it.

This was the kind of music I was exposed to from birth until about 12 - then I found rock and roll. I never went back to it until a couple of years ago - and now I love the toe tapping stuff.
I wasn't sure I could get CoCo to help on this - not what you would expect a 14 yr old to like - but she had a blast with it. She plays piano and french horn. If she had a little coaching on the vocals - I think she would really develop quickly.
