Easier way:

Open another instance of the synth.
On (in your example) Track 6; right-click the track and select 'Port'.
Scroll down to the ones labeled DXi/VSTi Synth (1 thru 16).
Pick any of the 16 available.

Then a PopUp tells you to select the synth you want for this Port using the top slot.
So do what it says and assign that Port to another instance of your chosen synth. If it was Coyote, open another instance of Coyote.

Now you have two separate instances of the synth that can be controlled individually.

The pop ups may not be the same for PT13, but the methodology is.

Multiple Banks can be used in PT, but above is a simpler solution.
