Try regenerating the song after changing parameters.

The Play button should force a regeneration (as opposed to the "Replay" button).

Of course, there are times when the ducks get out of line with BIAB and Windows, at that point I stop, shut down BB and reboot the computer (frees resources, gets those bit ducks back in a row behind the mama duck), then start BB back up and see if things are working right again. If they aren't, then I go to the Opts -> Return to Factory Settings button, which solves 90% or more of such problems where BIAB doesn't do what it used to do.
