Hello,
Wondering if someone could suggest a parametric eq plug in for Real Band. The one that comes with it is a bit odd. You cannot enter a specific frequency to roll off without going sequentially through there numbering system of 0 to 180. There bandwidth selection is also odd.
Also I was wondering about Amplitude. It appears that every preset is missing key components and you must purchase these for any preset you choose to use. You get the software but none of the presets. Am I understanding this correctly?

Regarding Amplitude, I believe it comes with four generic amp sims, clean, brit, crunch and bass as well as some generic speaker cabinets such as 4 X 10 and 2 X 12.
As you mentioned, the full line of amp sims are listed and available for purchase.

Thank you for the replies. I downloaded the bluecat semi parametric eq but every time I try to add it to the plugins effects list I am told it is not a valid plug in. I am running windows 8.1 64 bit.
Any thoughts?

You need the 32 bit install. Your machine may be 64 bit, but RB and BB are 32 bit.
That's the first thing I'd check.
Also,it may need to be installed in Programs/X86 folder. Especially if using the DX version vs VST.
I haven't yet tried it on 64 bit machine to test.
That's why it was mentioned last. They disappeared for a while but recently re-appeared, and were decent back in the day. I've heard others use them with success.
Alternatively, try the EQ in the ReaPlugs (Reaper) collection. It does a nice job, is efficient and is pretty stable. Works on 64 bit machine here (W7).

Thanks I am running a 64 bit machine windows 8 And that may be the case, HOWEVER, IIRC BB & RB are 32 bit apps and all the plugs will need to be 32 bit as well.

Just because your operating system is 64-bit doesn't mean that the applications your run under it are. 64-bit Windows allows you to run both 32-bit and 64-bit applications. All the PG-Music applications are 32-bit, so the associated plug-ins need to be the 32-bit versions of them.
For example, even though a program like Sonar comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, if you only install the 32-bit version, you can only run 32-bit plugins with it.
One way to get around some of the 32/64 limitations is to use something like jBridge, which allows 64-bit applications to run 32-bit plugins, and 32-bit applications to run some 64-bit plugins.

JBridge works well in RB to connect with SampleTank 3 which is now available in 64 bit format only.

I don't mean this as a ding, as I've been guilty of it myself, but I've seen it a lot lately. The name of the product is Amplitube, not Amplitude. Amplitude is a measurement of change over a single period of time, Amplitube is the tube amp simulation plugin by IK-Multimedia for DAWs.
