I've been using the melody and soloist sequencer windows lately, often moving from one to the other with 3-4 clicks. It occurs to me these windows don't take up much real estate, so my suggestion is to combine them into one window, melody on left, soloist on right. Doing this would present the entire sequencer situation in one eye shot and obviate the multiple clicks from one sequencer window to the other.

That could work. Or having a Swap button in both windows, to replace the Melodist with the Soloist and vice-versa.

While we're talking about the Sequencer window...
I've been visiting it very often recently.
Why is it called a sequencer window? I don't see anything remotely connected to sequencing with it.

Because we didn't call it the MIDIfile Window?
Or maybe it is because it is the window that plays a MIDI Sequence...

When I clicked the Sequencer icon I was hoping I could do away with all of my sequencer software!

Or why not just have a radio button for each channel designating whether it should go on the melody track or the soloist track. That would make moving a channel between tracks as easy as clicking on the appropriate button.
