Mixed feelings about this latest duo, as a fan of both to me this a disappointment performance i only found one track on the whole album that i enjoyed, (vynil) not an issue as i love vynil, i found that most tracks sounded the same tempo, very slow ballads of jazz, anyone herd or has the album?

Well, while I wonder about the purpose of this thread a bit, I think the OP is right. Assuming these are from the same album mentioned, I've heard several of the tracks, remakes of their older songs. I think the newer versions didn't measure up (Rio de Janiero Blues, for example), but that's just an opinion.

Oh, and Russ, Joe Sample and Randy Crawford are very much legit. Joe Sample is fabulous. He's from Texas. I'll bet you would like his music; check it out.

I think maybe Russ was exhibiting the sense of humour us Brits are usually known for and which 95% of the time is not picked up by non-Brits?

Yes, I'm sure Russ was kidding, now that you mention it.
