Ich habe BIAB 2012 (Ultraplus Pak) und bin auf ein Update zu BIAB 2014 interessiert (allerdings ohne mir das Ultraplus Pak neu zu kaufen). Es scheint ja so, als ob man ein Update problemlos durchführen könnte und zwar kostenlos, ist das richtig? http://www.pgmusic.com/support_windowsupdates.htm#386 Dort steht: If you have build 379 or earlier, you may wish to download this full patch (250 MB) which includes some RealTracks updates (only applicable to users who have build 379 or earlier). Werden die RealTracks meines Ultraplus Paks weiter funktionieren oder habe ich Probleme zu erwarten. Bevor ich meine gegenwärtig funktionierende BIAB-Version "zerstöre", wären Erfahrungsberichte hilfreich. Lohnt sich das Update überhaupt oder sind die neuen Versionen instabiler/unflexibler? Ein großer Vorteil meiner gegenwärtigen BIAB-Version ist es, dass ich sie parallel zu einer DAW (Sonar X1) laufen lassen kann und dabei denselben Audio-Treiber nutzen kann (Mein Focusrite-Interface-Treiber ermöglicht das irgendwie). Wird das bei dem BIAB-Update auch noch funktionieren?

GHinCH Expert Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 1,492 Schleswig-Holstein, Germany	Update Updates von alter Version zu neuer Version waren bei PGMusic meines Wissens nach "noch nie" kostenlos. Updates können aber immer auf die bisherige Version installiert werden, die alte Installation bleibt dabei -- bis auf neue Funktionen -- unberührt. Das heißt, Pro bleibt Pro, Mega bleibt Mega... Ich musste noch nie auf etwas verzichten, was ich schon hatte. Unter normalen Umständen bleibt also alles gleich wie vorher, aber die Software hat neue und geänderte Funktionen oder Funktionsweisen. Ein Update von 2012 auf 2014 scheint nicht mehr möglich zu sein. 2015 ist schon auf dem Markt. Der Update der Programmversion kostet laut http://www.pgmusic.com/bbwin.packages.htm USD 69, ein Update von 2012 UltraPlusPAK auf 2015 UltraPlusPAK USD 159. Wenn Du 64-bit-Add-Ons (z. B. VSTis) verwendest oder verwenden willst, dann ist es hilfreich gleich noch die JBridge-Lizenz für 10 Taler dazu zu kaufen. Die ist diesen Monat bei PGMusic billiger als bei JBridge selbst. Paralleler Betrieb von Software Das musst Du ausprobieren. Es gibt allerdings viele User von BIAB und RB im Forum , die genau das tun und sich bisher noch nicht beklagt haben, dass das nicht mehr ginge. Gäbe es da Probleme, wäre das Forum voll von Beschwerden. Ich selbst werde erst in den nächsten Tagen den Update kaufen. Frage ist, ob es sinnvoll ist, die Programm-Version von 12 auf 14 (oder 15) aufzubauen, wenn man nicht gleichzeitig die PlusPak-Version kauft. Irgendwie habe ich das System noch nicht verstanden... :-( "Paralleler Betrieb von Software: Das musst Du ausprobieren. Gäbe es da Probleme, wäre das Forum voll von Beschwerden." Komischerweise kann ich BIAB 2012 nicht ordnungsgemäß beenden, wenn ich parallel eine andere Software betreibe. Dann schmiert BIAB beim Beenden immer ab. Ansonsten funktioniert BIAB aber ordnungsgemäß.

Dieser Text sagt, dass der Patch nur wirkt, wenn Du bereits die Version 2014 hast. Die Philosphie von PGMusic ist, dass nichts passiert, wenn die Voraussetzungen für den Patch nicht zutreffen. Du kannst also spaßeshalber den Build 386 installieren. Ob es sinnvoll ist, die Version 2015 ohne das PlusPAK zu kaufen, musst Du selbst entscheiden. Das hängt vor allem davon ab, wie Du das Programm einsetzt und welche Funktionen Du brauchst oder vermisst. Da Du RealTracks einsetzt, könnte es aber sein, dass es für Deine Anwendungen weitere RealTracks gibt, die vielleicht auch Dein Interesse wecken könnten. Ich kann Dir leider keine Pro- oder Contra-Hilfestellung geben.
