No built in sounds. You'll need to use a softsynth.
Yes it works in BiaB (but will require a softsynth for MIDI, BiaB includes a basic one). It works even better in Realband, which comes free with BiaB. This is because RB allows muti-track recording.
I have two of these cards; very powerful and flexible cards, but their main feature is recording multiple audio tracks. They have flexible audio routing, an external MIDI driver, but no MIDI 'sounds' built in.
That has never been an issue here, though, because of softsynth options.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
