As Mac has indicated, RealBand is much more versatile when it comes to RealTracks and solos. In RB, you can even add snippets of solos to musical breaks with a variety of instruments and they can all be on the same track - as far as I am aware, this is not possible in BIAB. I use RB all the time for (re)generating soloists. It's brilliant.
If you generate a solo in BIAB and want to keep it, simply right-click on the instrument where the solo is located and choose to save the RealTrack as as WAV file.
