Normally I'd suggest isolating the vocals with a band pass filter or combination or low pass/high pass. But in this case, the vocal is really too far back to enhance - all it ends up doing is bringing up the guitar (which you already noted). My only suggestion would be to try overdubbing to vocal. How good are you at imitating your friend?

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
