Do you have RealBand? If so on one track record the guitar only, that is do not sing. After it is recorded play it back while recording only the singer, that is do not play the guitar. This will keep both parts totally seperate for adding effects, mixing etc.

If you do not have an audio interface you can use your computer mic input. This is not the best option but it should be better than you have now if you follow the above recording method.

You will also need a set of headphones as you have to turn off your speakers while recording the vocal, otherwise you will also re-record the guitar coming out of the speakers.
