I asked this long ago but didn't take actionat the time. I'd like to know how some of you start a tune during a performance. On one hand it's completely natural for a drummer/percussion person to count us into action. As I write the visual count off comes to mind. Maybe that's better than a pedal unless you know the tempo cold. Got a pedal you like just in case?
