This is a difficult one for me. In fact, if you see this Saundra I'd love to do a collab with you on this one. You can probably play it with one hand tied behind your back. Sig. click please.

Great arrangement Swanny.....but too short!! I'd like to hear more. An interesting twist on a very old song.

Swanny,
I think my only problem with the song is the transition at the beginning from 'classical' to 'jazz.' Not to tell you how to play your music, but what I would do would be to make the 'classical' part a little longer, and towards the end, just lay down a very light guitar melody over top, no chops or improvisation, just the melody. Let it all fade out, and then do your jazz waltz intro, and then start the jazz. The first time, and subsequent times that I listened to it, the transition between the classical and the jazz was too abrupt. The ending is better. The ending the classical fades in, and you move from a jazz to a simple melody, and it transitions much better.

Other than that, I think it's a great rendition.

Also, you need to get a tripod for your camera!

Gary

The original post is from over a year ago and the link has likely been removed.

We owe our little Spambot up there for resurrecting this thread...
