Need some help here.
I originally entered a song (with melody part) in straight 8th notes. Now I wanted to swing it. I went to select a swing style in the StylePicker. The Notation Edit window showed triplet subdivisions as expected. But the melody part still played in straight 8th notes. Switched to Rod Notation Mode, I could see the 8th notes are not aligned to the subdivisions. What should I do?

The Melody track is not influenced by the style file. Melody is a Static Track.
If you want the Melody to have a swing feel, it must be re-recorded or entered as such.

Depending on how many notes you may need to manually change to make it swing, it may be worth your while to automate by going to a sequencer (like Sonar) that will do this. Export BIAB melody to a midi file, bring that into the sequencer, select the notes, choose quantize, change the swing to 67% and select both start times and durations, and that's it.
I just looked at Real Band (which I don't use much) and it seems to have there same quantize capabilities - so I'd start there since you probably have it and you can stay in BIAB files.

BiaB offers to change an even melody to swing feel when choosing a swing style. Works quite well here, iff the style was changed via the little 'F' button. If the style was changed via the standard style picker window, the option to turn the melody track to swing feel does *not* show up. Looks like a glitch in the style picker window.

When you switch from a straight-feel style to swing-style, then go to the menu and select, "Melody, Humanize with Swing Feel". Likewise, if you switch from swing to straight, you can select "Melody, Humanize with Straight Feel". There's a complementary selection in the "Soloist Menu".

In the older versions a box would pop up asking if you wanted to change the feel. The new versions don't do that for some reason however as John said it still can be done.
