Hi, I'm using BIAB version 2015 (417) and have a suggestion for your bass line algorithm.
If I punch in the following chords, Bb, A7, Ab7, G7, Cm ... I expect to hear a chromatically descending bass line ... Bb, A, Ab, G ...
If I had to choose between a half step or a major 7th jump in a line where most players would choose a half step, I'd prefer that the program do the same ... half steps should have more weight than a major 7th jump.
In the following sequence of chords ... C, Dm7, D#dim, C/E I would expect the bass line to be C,D,D#,E ... the notes encompassing the distance of a major third. When the program makes the choice of a D# followed by an E that is not a half step away, the effect is mildly jarring.
I should add that I have 'Force track to simple arrangement: Bass' selected.
I realize for some this might be a matter of taste, but I'd prefer my 'taste' or the option for half step priority. Thanks.
