Here is my latest song "Even The Winner Has Scars." The tracks are from BIAB, it was recorded using my zoom r16 into a competing software program. I am going to mix it again completely in the zoom r16. When I get it done I will give it here for compare. I hope that everyone will let me know what you think of the song and the mix. Hi PgFantastic, I really like your song. The mix is excellent and your voice is well suited to the style. You have a good ear for getting it right. I'm envious  As I was listening, I found myself wondering what it would sound like with a resonator guitar realtrack playing gently in the background. Great work! Thank you for sharing. Noel

Very nice Robert. The title is enough to get one to listen.
Personally, I think the song warrants some orchestra & could be longer.
I always enjoy your voice.

Great song Robert........
I also like the idea of some resonator guitar in the background doing fills around the vocal. This would be fun to play around with, maybe change the electric piano to an acoustic, piano, or even an acoustic guitar.

Sounds good to me Robert!
A small arrangement thing - I really liked it when the drums came in at 0:56, it got things up and nicely underway. I'd have then left them in, all the way through, not going back to the sidesticks, which seem to slacken things off. Instead, to provide contrast when the next verse starts at 1:04, try some low strings or a pad. Toucher has a point about the keys, they're a tad light and an acoustic piano would maybe sound better.
A fine song though, and I enjoyed it.

Really nice song, but two things that might make it even better:
1. You need a compressor on your vocal to even it out, maybe 4:1 ratio, medium attack (50ms) and slow
release (500ms). That will even out the lyrics.
2. Move in a lot closer to the mic. If you get popping, try singing into it from the side slightly. That will make your voice more intimate and richer.

I love the message in this song. In your redo, I wouldn't over orchestrate it as the lyrics lend themselves to a more raw sound imho.

Nice song. Well written.
When the drums kick in, it is unfortunatly not followed by the rest of the band. You could try to bring up the other instruments up a bit also to create some more punch and dynamic feel.
You might want to try some mastering on this track. Some dynamics and eq-ing could bring the song to the next level.
Very good song, well sung and nicely made. Good job, keep posting!
