Hi everybody,
whenever I switch to the RB style-picker that "First time" message shows up, telling me that the SP-list has to be re-build. After clicking OK the SP-window shows almost immediately.
I know this has been an issue before, but the solutiion PG proposed then (delete rebuildstylepickerlist. txt) doesn'work with me: I found that file and renamed it, so it's definitely no longer there. But I'm still getting that useless message.
Does anybody know the solution?

I would first try setting RB to "run as administrator".

Unfortunately it doesn't make any difference - the message keeps coming up...

Makes me wonder if this is related to the same problem as your VSTs it saving. You didn't happen to install it to the Program Files folder, did you?

Hi John, thank you very much for your helpfulness.
BIAB, RB and PT default folders have been created as subfolders of C: ever since. I have to admit that I am not quite happy with that, but in order to avoid any problems I accepted the default settings.
The songs, of course, are stored in my data area.

The fact that certain information isn't getting saved (when it does save for other folks) means something is blocking it. So the question is what is blocking it? It does seem like both your issues might be related.
In the off chance it works, another thing to try might be to (at least temporarily) exclude your BIAB and RealBand folders from your anti-virus scanner. Which anti-virus do you use?
By the way, excluding the BIAB and RealBand folders from anti-virus scanning will speed up how quickly the programs load.

Hi John,
I checked your proposal and deactivated my AV - nothing changes. At least as far as the plug-in issue is concerned I didn't expect any change as the respective .seq-file does get saved and an AV-program will not be able to block only certain information it contains. But if there is something I've learned during 40 years of working with computers it's certainly: Don't say,'No, that can't be.'- always give it a try.
Since there is sth. else I want to say about the plug-in issue, I'm going to do that in the resp. thread.
I'm really grateful for your help!
