Below the fretboard view are the fret numbers and somewhere along the neck you will see a white rectangle.
Click on the nut to move that white rectangle to the first position, and then BIAB should show you the fingerings there.
Of course, if the notes are higher than first position, then it will still jump up, to the first logical string where you can reach that note, usually the high E. But simple things should read out okay.
