*Try backing it inot the parking space, rather than head on parking the bike. This may better protect the locked front fork if the bike should be hit by a car from either side.

*Use of the kickstand instead of the center stand may well indeed protect the locked front fork a bit better, but nothing is ultimate protection against an idiot in an automobile or truck.

*See if you can find a good alarm system that will sound off loud, long and immediately should the bike be jostled or disturbed.

*If this is happening on campus, or otherwise at the workplace where you must park the bike daily, might be a good idea to have a talk with the local police about the problem. Good idea to have them alerted to the situation and on the lookout for such violations, I'll bet yours is not the only motorcycle suffering from such damage. If possible, take it to the police station, commander or whoever is in charge of the area. Have a short and friendly meeting with that person and discuss your concerns.
