"Scrap" is just a longtime name RealBand (and PowerTracks) uses for its paste buffer. So if you a load file into scrap, you are loading it into the paste buffer, after which you can "paste" it into a track.

Likewise, you can copy something into the paste buffer for example, with CTRL-C, and then you can save scrap (meaning, save whatever is in the paste buffer) to a file.

It's basically the ability to extend the copy/paste buffer to include file load and save.

B=Beginning of Scrap
E=End of scrap
