One idea:
Try renaming ptw.ini and PTPA.CFG
example: In the current active PT folder, rename them to ptw2016.ini and PTPA2016.CFG respectively by right-clicking them

This should cause them to get rebuilt when you open PT. This effectively resets PT, so you may need to check your driver setup afterwards.
If you have any issues, rename the old ones back (after renaming or deleting the new current ones of course) and things should go back to behaving as they currently do now.
/At least it has always worked like this in the past ..

As a rule, PT uses whatever convertor/driver is the default in Windows for many things. If this data was lost somehow, resetting things may be a quick way to getting back to where you want to be, since it will relocate the current devices.
At very least this would be a test that would eliminate some possibilities.
