Hello everyone, every time I 'm in the styles of RealBand 2016 he said that first you have to create the list of styles ( 5-10 minutes max ) but nothing happens , he asks me forever ! Yet I have tried everything, including start the program in administrator mode but ... nothing! If anyone has the solution, I'm interested.
Material: PC Windows 10 and Official RealBand bought yesterday on the site.
Thank you in advance. JC Boudrant .

Hi. I'm not sure if it exactly the same issue but it sounds very like the problem I had. See the earlier post set off by me.

Somewhere towards the bottom of the discussion you'll see this message from me, detailing how I (accidentally) solved the issue. May not help if you haven'y got an earlier copy of Realband...

Hi all.
Now, it will take greater minds than mine to explain this but

...having totally disabled User Account Control and still having the problem I became unconvinced the issue is anything to do with administrator level access but probably more something like Realband is stuck in a partial, unfinished rebuild of the Stylepicker.

After trying everything else I overwrote Realband 2016 with an installation of Realband 2015. (Just Realband, I left BIAB 2016 untouched). Hey presto, Realband 2015 did a longer rebuild on first opening and then worked fine.

I then upgraded again with a re-installation of Realband 2016 (making sure I installed always as the administrator) and...everything works fine.

User Account Control is still active but I'm running the program as an administrator.

Be sure you've installed the latest BIAB update from the support page.

JC -

You didn't happen to install BIAB/RB to the c:\Program Files(x86) folder did you? That can cause those kinds of problems, even in administrator mode.

For programs such as BIAB/RB that don't use the registry, I have an Apps folder in which I install them to. So on my computer, my programs are installed to C:\Apps\PGMusic\BIAB and C:\Apps\PGMusic\RealBand.

If not this, then I would look at a few things:

Make sure that your folder designations in RealBand correctly point to the right place (see image below). Also, it probably doesn't affect your problem, but make sure both applications point to the same locations for RealTracks and RealDrums.

Are you running from the external USB drive. Sometimes when you plug/unplug/replug the drive, it can change drive letters on you, which can also cause problems. One of the things I always do is to use Windows "Manage Drives" feature and intentionally change the drive letter used by external drives I use often. In my experience, Windows seems to remember this (I think it tags either on the disk ID or the volume label) and uses the same drive letter the next time you plug it in.

If none of the above, I would also look at the folder you installed BIAB to and make sure your user account has the proper "write" permissions. Also, you should double check to make sure none of the files have been flagged as read-only. If you need help with any of this, let us know

Don't know if this helps, but just a few ideas to try.

I'm under the assumption that RB uses a file called BBW.exe or BBW2.exe (or possbly even 3 now) for style list building, as it is more a BiaB function. This file will reside in the \bb folder.
May need to check the permissions there also. Just a thought.

Also try minimizing RB and see if there is a hidden window behind it. This window may be waiting for a response from you and you are not seeing it.
This phenom has happened to a few of us.

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
