I would love to have the chords shown so that I don't have to open midi notation to find out where I am when trying to locate a specific edit spot while playing back the wave file in AudioEdit. PT does not have this feature either. H-m-m-m-m WishList, eh?

Try to take advantage of the Markers feature for edit points.

Place Markers on the timeline before opening Edit windows.

Markers are also very useful for UNdoing an Edit manually or revisiting one for a bit of tweaking without fussing around trying to find your place again.

And then there's my favorite marker of all, the old clipboard, paper and pencil. Jotting notes while working, such as timeline events, bar/beat, SMPTE, Time Code, whatever you use, plus any other little reminders for yourself as you go is still very powerful stuff. Those of us who worked at one time using multitrack analog tape had nothing else at the time and the old habit is still a good one to cultivate. The paperless office can still do this using the RealBand/PTW Memo, Notepad or Wordpad or combinations of both...
