But not to disagree with Matt/Mario my reading of Windows 10 Defender is it's OK but in the middle of the pack and not my first choice for my Window 10 laptop and now desktop PC. I use different programs, a dedicated firewall, and Malwarebytes - and on my desktop I disconnect it from Ethernet when not needing internet or LAN for other assets anyway

I don’t get emotionally attached to ANY A/V or firewall and have changed each a lot over the years, I check about every six months on what the different review labs have to report.
