**Automatic "Renering" using a DXi synth takes place entirely in the digital domain. There is nothing at all to be gained by piping it through an aftermarket soundcard at that point. The resulting file will be identical to any file made using the built in soundcard.
Playback of the Rendered file may sound a tad better using that device, though, but that part is AFTER the Rendering has been accomplished.
You may just want to simplify things and continue to use the built in soundcard when doing the Render part of the process. Just a thought.
