hello,
same problem here.
deleting INTRFACE.BBW and factory reset does not solve the problem.
re-download didn't solve the problem.
Joe, is your problem limited to missing buttons in the CUSTOM TAB area? or are ALL of your buttons missing? (the new interface doesn't show most buttons, but if you toggle the old interface with CTRL-T all the buttons SHOULD be visible. as an aside: Even without the buttons, all of BIABs features should still work from the main menu. I mention this so you can continue to play and explore until this gets resolved.

I note from your other forum post that yours is a different issue than described in this thread. You are talking about having no buttons period, whereas this thread is about losing just custom buttons. I think your issue is from running the German version of BB, and I've described how to fix it in that thread.
Please note that " factory reset" IS the problem that creates this problem, so that when I see your statement appending "and factory reset" to the fixing instructions, perhaps that is the issue.
I will repeat the instruction to fix it.
1 . When bbw is not running, erase intrface.bbw (in BB folder)
(Do not use the return to factory settings at any time within BB)
2. (Non English versions only) If using a non English version of BB, if #1 doesn't fix it, while BB is not running, change language.ini text file to say language=English and save it, and then run program. Don't delete language.ini, edit it as described in previous sentence.
As mentioned, we will have a patch on Monday for this, (so it auto-fixes and doesn't occur again) so just avoid that return to factory settings over this weekend (dec 3/4) and if you have the issue, fix it with item #1 above,

This thread was getting a little complicated (for me anyway), because there were discussions of 2 separate issues  ... The good news is that they both have fixes  So I am locking the thread, and have started two separate threads for people to track/post regarding the issues/fixes. 1.
