Hi, does anyone know how I can view the bass notation for Real Band bass lines in BIAB & Real Band? any help or work-around would be much appreciated.

All MIDI-based styles will show up in the notation for Bassline, no problem.
With the RealTracks, not all are supported in notation. However, if the Bass part up by the Radio Button is green, which indicates a RealTrack, and if it has an underscore (underline) on it, then it is a newer RealTrack that has notation support. If you can't see the notes, then you are using a RealTrack that is not supported for notation.
The RealTrack picker window also shows which ones support notation, too, under the "Chart" heading.

Thank you MAC,
I knew that already I was hoping there might be some trick to capture the midi notation the Real sounds are modeling from.

That is part of the proprietary process used to make the Real Tracks.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Slate VSX, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

Since they have been able to provide notation recently for newer RealTracks, I am wondering whether it wouldn't be possible for them to go back over the older ones and ADD the ability to show notation.
That would seem to be the reasonable thing to do, so that all RealTracks perform in the same fashion...

Newer ones may well have been recorded via some midi pickup means. While probably not thoroughly impossible for bass lines, turning strict audio data into midi signals is a whole different story than picking up midi signals during then recording process.

Nope.
RealTracks are transcribed in order to get the note data.
That data does exist for all RealTracks and is why I am fairly certain that it would be possible to go back to the ones that don't have notation currently and add it to the process without jumping through hoops of programming fire.
I think that pgmusic has upgraded whatever pitch recognition softwares they have used in the past, though, and now have much more accurate transcriptions that need less human intervention than ever before. Would almost bet on Melodyne, BTW.
There are some around here who have done side work for pgmusic in the past and perhaps even now, transcribing RealTracks, finding and creating loop points and a few other things. The country chicken pickers can be a daunting transcription task at times, don't ask how I know that for certain (grin).
But for the most part, if not in all cases, a live musician with an acoustic instrument setup is simply recorded while playing to a backing track in headphones to yield the base RealTrack file. Look Ma, no MIDI.

You sure? How'd you know? It appears so simple to equip acoustic instruments with midi pickup sensors, thus having the cake and eat it too -> viz. have authentic audio recordings together with automatic note transcriptions via those tiny midi pickups. Acoustic pianos with midi sensors are ubiquitous too these days.

I am positive. And I already told you why.
Again -- I was one of the original group of human transcribers for the second release set of RealTracks. it was partially automated, but the human intervention was necessary to clear up glitch notes, timing tracking, etc. -- and in some cases, it meant redoing the entire thing one note at a time. PGMusic advertised for paid help right here on this forum back then.
You really don't think they messed around with a MIDI pickup on a pedal steel, do you? heh

.
I reported numerous cases where bass Realtracks showed up with serious innaccuracies in their notation. Perhaps these issues have been addressed in more recent editions.
