I had an earworm today and once the aging brain cells aligned I recognized the worm as an old country tune called She Makes The Living Worthwhile. I knew the song from seeing Roy Clark sing it on Hee Haw, and research steered me toward a guy from Arkansas named Donovan Willis as the composer However, that's where the trail ended for Donovan Willis. I can't find anything that leads me to believe that he was a songwriter of any repute. Do any of you know long time country guys know anything about Donovan Willis? That particular song was recorded by Roy Clark in 1974. The hook to the thing is "I make the living, she makes the living worthwhile." And that hook sticks in my mind largely because Floyd Jane writes catchy lyrics like that, (And I don't, ya bum ya!!!) like his "Feeling Nothing At All".

Eager to learn more about Donovan Willis and see if he was a one hit wonder writer. Can't find anything on Google.
