I have "BIAB 2016.0.120".

Using the "Daw Plugin in BIAB", I'm tying to export from BIAB into Logic Pro 10.3.

It does NOT work.

I tried dragging individual tracks from BIAB into Logic, it does NOT work.

I tried dragging all the files at once using the "Master" option but still does NOT work.

Please help.

I don't have a Mac, but I know on Windows not all DAWs accept the "drag-in" from BIAB. For that, you have to drag it to a disk file first, then bring it in t your DAW. It's a two step process, but generally works. Have you tried that?

Could be some of your Drag & Drop settings are not configured correctly. On this video (Mac Drag & Drop) around 45 seconds in it describes what settings you need in BIAB.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuAP5gjp_-8

If you still can't drag & drop after checking settings make sure none of your individual tracks are soloed.
This stopped me dragging and dropping non soloed tracks from BIAB to Reaper

I don't use Mac or Sonar either but hope the video helps.

Mr Bean,

Welcome to the forum.

Being a BIAB (Windows) user and not a Mac user, I'm not absolutely sure what 2016.0.120 means. I'm guessing that it indicates BIAB 2016 (Build 120).

If the above is the case, the version you have is a number of updates behind the most current build. If you go to the link below, the most current stable build is #146 (as opposed to #120 that your information seems to indicate). This was released on Nov 1, 2016.

http://www.pgmusic.com/support_macintoshupdates.htm

I suggest downloading the current update/build and manually installing it. This may well solve your problem.

I imagine that installing updates on a Mac is similar to installing them on Windows. What I do is....

1. Download the update. It's an executable file.

2. Close BIAB.

3. Run the executable file.

4. Check that the program installation paths are correct if/when the install process asks.

After that, the installation takes care of itself. When it's completed, I open BIAB and then enter into Stylepicker so that the style list can be rebuilt (this is a consequence of installing updates).

Regards,
Noel

Hi MrBean,

Please watch the video that Kev T suggested. It very clearly shows how to configure and use the DAW plugin feature. I also am running OSX 10.11.6 on my iMac and using Logic Pro X 10.3.0 as my DAW. You had me worried because I just recently updated Logic, but after reading your post I tried the plugin drag&drop and it works as it is supposed to.

As Noel indicated, it looks like you have the original build of BIAB 2016 and are several updates behind. I recommend that you use the link Noel provided and update to build 146. Make sure when installing that the path is correct, e.g. either to your internal iMac HD or to your external drive if you have one.

Ron

That's great news. Might we suggest that you edit your reply and append the title as [Solved]

This helps others to search for problem resolutions.

Oh, and welcome to the neighborhood too.
