Hello,
I have Band in box 2016. I wonder if is it possible to load songs without changing the style in memory? I have some favorite styles which I would like to test with songs ignoring their original style, but every time I load a new song, the style changes, forcing me to reload my test style again.
Also I want to know if it is possible to only load part of a chord progression of a saved song.
As an idea, it would be very convenient if biab could save only just chord progressions, without information of tempo or style, in order to test a choice style.

I believe there's a "recent styles" used window in the style picker. You can easily load your favorite style from there. I think there might even be a favorites tab where you can keep your most commonly used styles ... I think I've seen that but not 100% sure.
Just be careful when you save the file as you close it. Since there will be a change, it will ask if you want to save the file. If you click yes, it will save it with the new style and the original style will be replaced. That's OK if you can remember the style name so you can reload it if you want to return to the first one.

I found this in the user manual. This may help for part of your problem. I don't think you can load selective chord progressions, but you should be able to test multiple songs using the same style. I'm not at my music computer, so I can't verify this works, but it's worth a try: Forced Styles option
This allows you to keep a style in memory. This way, all subsequent songs that are loaded will not change the style (even if they have a different associated style), so you can easily play songs in the same style. If you’ve found a new favorite style, you can try it out in all kinds of songs without having to reload the style each time.
For example, let’s say we’ve discovered the “GARNER” style, and want to try it out on all kinds of songs. Select File | Load Style Special | OK to load styles with songs so that the item is NOT checked. Now when you load a song the new style doesn’t load and you can play the song in GARNER.STY. You can temporarily override this setting by loading in another style using the [Style] button or the File | Load Style Special menu, and the new style loaded will stay in until you choose another one.

Thanks you very much John, it works great. I remember last year I had seen that command in the menu, but I mistakenly did test it only with the demo songs on style picker, not knowing that it wouldn't work there. Now I tried it with my songs saved, it works nicely. Thanks to Herb for the "recent styles" tip, I will try it too. THANKS  Gina
