You didn't tell us what you are using to generate the drum sounds. It's possible that those settings have to be made in the VSTi interface itself, rather than in RealBand (each VSTi may handle input differently).

And if still no luck, as Mario has intimated, just convert your drum track to WAV (he said mono, but stereo works too), and then you can pan as you wish.

If you go mono, then the entire drum sound will sound at that one position in the stereo listening field. If you convert to stereo and pan it, then it will be more like the center placement of the stereo sounds shift left or right.


John, the reason I said mono is because the OP want to pan the drums to the extreme left.

The only thing I do about drum panning is to make sure that the drums are heard like the audience hears them. That is snare on the right, floor tom on the left, etc, just opposite as what the drummer hears. My drums are always in the center.


I get most of my exercise these days from shaking my head in disbelief.
