I did something to a tune of mine , not sure what, but it opens with say style "xyz" but the moment it starts playing it switches to style 'abc". I had been playing with the soloist, changing different solo styles and so forth , so I figured it had something to do with that. I went ahead and deleted the entire solo track but BIAB still exhibits the same behavior. BTW, the moment playback stops my tune goes back to "xyz". Also what I mean by my style starts and my style goes back is based on what I see in that field below the tune title and next to the Style load button.
Don't have BIAB in front of me but I'm guessing you all know what I mean.

After you make the changes do you open the Save Song with Patches and Harmony, fill the patches and save it?
I often do that, and if I'm creating a new style, save the style with the changes....

I'm certainly pretty aggressive about clicking on the "save" button but I'm not sure about "Save Song with Patches and Harmony". Not currently in front of BIAB. However, besides that, I don't understand why it opens in one style but switches to another upon "play".

I am presuming this is a MIDI file? Maybe there is something in the data that re-sets it. Otherwise try a 'restore to factory settings'

You may have some bar settings incurring style changes ...

Charles, there's probably a style embedded at the bar level. In the chord window, look for a bar whose bar number is in a red box. Select the bar, hit F5, and you should find a style change specified. Clear it and Bob's your uncle.
(Don't know who Bob is, but British friends seem to love him when things go well. I think where you and I are from, it sorta means bottaboom bottabing. ) -Ron

Is there a quick way of finding what bars I may have specified settings for ? tho since it happens the moment I start playback I guess its reasonable to assume that it might be on bar #1

Soloists that have an asterisk in front of them will also load a certain specified Style.
Maybe that's what you did.

Me? I lost my style years ago (in fact, I think I never even had one) but then I seem to have found one that fits far better! Now, all I need to do is go to a bar where there are women and... I will leave the rest to your imagination!   PS: Thank God I'm not married!

so BIAB can change styles at any bar , the diff between BIAB/RB is that RB can change a style for a part. In general that may be tricky anyhow, e.g. a bass being on a different feel from the drums , etc
i.e. styles in BIAB enforce a designed interaction between the parts
