Yes, coyote doesn't normally attack human.
i read that they are testing the one animal they culled at the lab, perhaps that will reveal a clue. Might be a rabies situation or something.
But typically, its been my experience that coyotes avoid us. If anything, stand up tall and extend your arms outwards, look big. Works with many animals. Don't show teeth at the bear when doing that, though...
