Ok, I am sure that many of you know that Engelbert Humperdinck's real name is: Arnold George Dorsey. But, who knows the stage name for Lester William Polsfuss?

No cheating in using the internet to find the answer. I thought we could have a little fun with stage and real names of famous people.

Thanks,
RickeG

I never knew his name was Lester (I thought Lesley) until I heard about an album he recorded with Chet Atkins called "Lester & Chester".

Okay my turn....who is Declan McManus better known as?

Only reason I knew this was that a year or so ago I did a gig with some audience participation entitled "Why They Changed Their Names?" and this one was never guessed. The real punch line was that because my audience was a bit up in age (I'm guessing), they never knew Elvis Costello. They thought he was a younger brother of Lou Costello!

Later,

Sorry, my memory is a bit dusty with that one

Talking of icons with titles - who gets the title? The stage name or the real name?

I had to cheat, so I won't give it away ;-)

My band warmed up for his act in the late 60s.
