Another trick is to select the Bass A RealTrack, instead of the B or the changing (full) track, assuming that RealTrack has that choice. Then no matter which part marker, the bass can only play A.
Ahhh, thank you! This is exactly what I wanted! For some reason, when confronted with the enormous list of realtracks, I did not look closely enough to notice there were choices for A and B only. Marvelous!
