If it is MIDI bass and piano, check to make sure that you can hear other MIDI instruments playing. If you do, check the songfiles, under Save with Patches and Harmony and see if the Piano and Bass somehow got unchecked.

If that's not it, you might be using the VSC DXi and maybe one or two of its volume faders got turned down by a rogue coding. Open the MIDI Output window in BIAB, hit the DXi Settings button, hit the tab at the top of the window that opens to reveal the faders for the DXi VSC and make sure all of them are turned all the way up.

If it is RealTracks Bass and Piano that is missing in action, I'm not sure why that would be, but check the faders in your soundcard mixer applet and make sure some program didn't turn them all the way down.


If all else fails, try Opts -> Return to Factory Settings
