Oh, I see what you're after.

Well, the "Automatic Note Entry" design of the program, which is excellently fast way of entering notes, will default to a half note instead of a tie. That is what you are looking to do? Two identical notes tied? Not an actual slur?

You might be able to force that after the fact by changing the duration of the note as mentioned before, shortening it and then adding a new note where it "belongs" -- but you won't be able to get the tie marking between them.

Another thing to try is to maybe try turning off the Clean Notation feature, sometimes that can show these things, but again, in the case of the same note tied together, I doubt it.

Whiteout, pen or pencil and copy machine is my goto for BIAB music printouts...
