I think Korg hardware has a better service record than Samson at this point in time.
That is based on what I've seen and experienced with some other Samson branded stuff, like power amps, etc. They break a bit more often than other brands, it seems. Can't say whether that transfers to their new little recorder, but such things stick with ya. Maybe longer than it should.
End of day, it is still YOU and what you want, you should be downloading both manuals and reading every bit of each. Jot notes. What feature might one tout that the other doesn't have? Would that feature be important to you? etc.
