I find it very refreshing to listen to something that sounds so real and worthwhile. Your vocal suits perfectly.
I like the grittyness, imagery and emotion and also very much the sun coming up on a new day at the end.

Masterful writing. At the same time a photo rendered in words and so much more.
It takes a special talent to write so well, about something so politically charged and not preach about the politics of it.
I especially love the "tears upon the heathers" line. So vivid!
And, I like what you did with the reverb on your vocals.

That blew me away Bob. As soon as the started I sat up in my chair. What a powerful song. Life at is worse and song writing at its best. Well done. Incredible delivery.. I like what Scott said. Really nice job here, Robert! The spoken word-esque vocal delivery words wonderfully in this instance. It gives it a very eerie tone, and helps the lyrics hit really hard. Not to mention, the mixing job here is fantastic. Thanks for sharing

The combination of acoustic piano and mute guitar lasting at 8 beats creates a very nice atmosphere.
Your vocals are perfect with the accompanied tracks.
As Noel said, it's a very powerful composition and your arrangement and your performance catapult it into the territory of exceptional songwriting.
