The other thing is the time required to back up the data, copy my 3rd party styles to the new drive and get all my personal settings copied will take much longer than simply installing the programs and the 3 new RT sets.

Copmpared to DVDs, copying hard drive-to-hard-drive, even with USB in between, is like lightning...
