Sounds like maybe you have your Preferences set to record a MONO audio track and you might have the right side of the connection sending the signal to RB and the left side is getting recorded.
In the image below this can be set to Left, Right, or L&R (meaning it will use 2 MONO tracks - the one selected and the next available blank track.).

Try using a stereo track instead of a MONO track. This will tell us if one side is getting the signal. Right click the track and change the Track Type to Stereo Audio before recording.
If so, you can change it back to MONO and select the correct L/R side. This is controlled in the Prefs Audio tab as which side to record if the track is a MONO track.

Otherwise you may have the wrong driver selected for recording audio.

This can be changed in Prefs-Audio tab - Drivers button. Usually using SoundMapper or such is not the best choice, but on some systems RB defaults to that. You'll want to select the 222 U as the input if it is available there.

In RB does the Input meter show signal coming in?
