Ehm...

well, I have a song. The style is GREEN (Gentle 4/4 New Age folk)

Now since I LOVE the sound of the electric piano, the first thing I did, with the new version of 2010, is assign the piano part to a Realtrack electric piano (Piano, Electric, Rhythm SmoothCool Sw16 ).

Play...and... SURPRISE!

Instead of the electric piano, I get a "Trumpet, Jazz ballad Sw 085" RealTrack

What's happening?

Hi Alfredo,

Not sure why you're seeing that issue.
Please send a copy of the song to support@pgmusic.com.

I am seeing the same behavior on several different swing tunes - jazz trumpet solo instead of rhythm piano. I also posted this in the beta test forum.

Depends on the model of trumpet might be a good trade!

Yes, that will happen with a few RealTracks. Have fixed that. For now, disable Prefs-RealTracks-Allow RealTracks Substitution based on tempo, and the problem will go away. Next patch (289) will fix it.

Perfect, Peter, now everything is OK: the el.piano now seems played by Chick Corea, and not by Miles Davis!

On the other hand, Miles actually could play a rather mean piano.

A shame I don't think that there were ever any recordings made of that.

And Diz also could sit a good piano.

Arturo Sandoval is not going to let that happen to his musical legacy, though.

The problem is still there in RealBand. There are a few piano tracks (ex: #771 and #925) that generates trumpet tracks. Would it possible to fix that?

Thanks, Cerio

RT 904,905,906,907 are suppose to be Electric Piano but play as trumpets in RB.

Sounds a lot like that New Year's gig when I got a little bit too into the nog.

Stuff like that happens to the Trumpet player who doubles on keys, man.

I'll just play a whole lotta solo trumpet 'n then you start singin' yer ballad OK?

I heard that Dizzy would not give any trumpet lessons unless the students learned to play piano first. I wish that's what I had done and I think that almost all trumpet players agree.
