Hello, folks...

Everytime I attempt to open a MIDI file in BIAB, a random number of bars get chopped off, so that the song does not begin playing at the beginning of the first measure.

Remember, I'm not talking about the "Import melody from MIDI file" option from the "Melody" menu, but the "Open MIDI file" option from the "File" menu.

The songs were created in Cakewalk Music Creator Pro 24 sequencer and saved in MIDI 1 format, which means all the MIDI instruments are assigned to separate channels.

Would anyone have an insight to solving this problem? Thank you!

Hi bluage,

See if you can figure out if the same number of bars or beats is the offset for all songs done like this or not.

If it is, there may be an easy solve.

If the offset is Random, or different for each file, then it is perhaps something in the way you are saving the MIDIs in the other program that is the culprit.

But the first thing to do is to figure out where the files are starting in BB, and if they are all starting in the same exact wrong place.

Don't forget about the two bar countin here...
