My daughter will be ordering the Everything Option Software on HD very shortly.
Question 1. Can I use this USB package on both my computers as a stand alone system? I have a 2.2 Gigshertz Desktop and a very old IBM laptop. I would still be using the system one at a time, so hopefully not going against any copy write /multiple copies on one computer issues.

Yes, you can do that. The license is for one copy on one machine. Doesn't matter if you have two or twenty machines as long as that drive is only attached to one of them and you are only running the program from one machine at a time.

Question 2. Can I load my Power Tracks 12 on the same HD that is shipped with BB and will Windows XP recognize it and let me boot it up?

i think you could. I don't really know because BIAB2010 ships with a copy of RealBand, which is based on the Powertracks engine anyway and does everything that Powertracks already does and then some. They are very compatible, same look and feel. I just use RealBand instead of Powertracks now. You should try that.

Also, I have a lot of extras that I have accumilated over the years that have shipped with the different BB packages, can I load them also and expect the same results? I'm talking about the Guitar Star programs, and some other instructional guitar programs. I teach my grandsons guitar, and it would be nice just tote the hd over to their house, hook it up to their computer, and use it to teach from there.

Yes, you should still be able to run any extras.

If they are certain extras for BIAB, though, you may have to install them to the BB folder. This can be done on the outrigger drive.

Saying all that, I guess Question 3 would be, how long will it be until this 160 gigabyte hd will be full with new BB software? Should I be thinking teribyes? Excuse the spelling..

Well, that depends upon how many songs you save in there, the size of them varies, for instance, any song where you also added an Audio track will be MUCH larger than the others in filesize.

The good news is the new FREEZE function that stores songfiles, even with the RealTracks, in a very small filesize. That surprised me pleasantly.

I wouldn't worry about things like the disk space issue until it became an issue. You will then have an idea of how long it would take you to get to a full disk. Actually, we should start being concerned when any hard drive reaches about the 15% remaining free space point or so. Anything less than that could be "dangerous" to the health of your data. But at that point you could simply go out and pick up a 320gb USB drive and copy everything over. And the good news is that by then those drives will be even lower priced than they are today, which is pretty low considering.
