Basically it means that you "record/embed" information regarding not only the tempo, but also the key of the audio you are exporting so that when you import it into your DAW it can adjust the project tempo (or key if you want to do neat transposition and your DAW has that function).
Basically it's telling your DAW (or sampler) "this snippet of audio is in such and such tempo(s) and such and such key so you it can align, transpose, and make all sorts of nifty adjustments based on the Acid information. Note that BiaB can follow use this information and make transpositions to align the patterns of Acidized sections with the chords you enter! It's and AMAZING feature!

ACID is a technology developed by a company called Sonic Foundry. Basically it means the WAV will be exported with ACID information, which contains key and tempo. You should probably leave this option disabled.
that was a rhetorical question. But since you asked....
I created a project in BB not realizing the acidize function was on. I changed the key and everything was good in BB... But I exported the waves later into Sonar.... which recognizes acidized files. All kind of mayhem ensued when I started playback to record some live guitar parts and vocals....as it was not in the correct key...AND.... I had not set the tempo in Sonar to match the BB project as of yet, so the tempo was also pretty far off what I was expecting.
Once I realized what was causing the problems, it was a simple matter to turn those things off and life was good again in the studio.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.com Add nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both.
The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
Is there a parameter that can be set that works to the effect of "I will never use acidize. Please stop asking me if I want to acidize every time I save"?

No. Welcome back Eddie! I haven't seen you posting for awhile.
I hardly ever want to do it, but I must have disabled a pop up or something because when I export all files as individual from RB it acidizes them automatically and I often have to open them in audacity and resave them to fix the problem. It can mess with your mind as Herb said.
So, how do I now tell Real Band NOT to acidize anything when I do a bulk export???

Hi Eddie,
In the "Acidize this .WAV file" dialog, there's a checkbox marked "Always pop up this dialog after saving to a .WAV file". Unchecking it should do the trick.
Thanks Kent! I knew I (personally) had done it somewhere, but couldn't remember where to find it. BiaB/RB have so much in the Prefs area it just seemed like I should find it there.
May want to consider adding this option to the Prefs area! So once I turn it off I (and others) have a way to find it again .. easily.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

Hi David,
I'll see if I can figure this out tomorrow and get back to you!
To get the Acidizer to run on Win 10 now I had to set the Compatibility mode to Vista. I uploaded the Acidizer.zip to the PG server so it is still here down the track. Just remove the .mp4 extension, you may have to set Explorer to Show File Extensions.
