If it's an infinite loop, well you are in another time space continuim.

You mean if it says 3 repeats it just keeps on going like the pink battery bunny?

And it's not one of the two settings that loop the song over and over?

What kind of repeat?

Are you talking of the kind that is controlled by the Number of Choruses number block, or are you talking about the kind of Repeat that puts the Repeat sign at the bar on the Chord Grid and has First and Second Endings?

The latter can be buggy and always has been, if you put one of them in and then try to take it out it may not work.

I probably misunderstood what type of repeats dfaris was referring to....those I'm referring to are identical listings of the exact same style in various places in the stylepicker. Most are listed in pairs, one under the other in the styles list (i.e., typically appear in pairs).

Also weren't there additional styles that are a part of the 289b/290 build?

I've used the program for years and never used that.

If you take a standard chord progression, put in 12 bars, you can enter 1 12 then 3 telling the program in those 3 boxes that it starts on 1 ends on 12 and repeat 3 times. You can then auto generate an Intro using the intro function, 2 or 4 bars, then invoke an ending.

Did you find the folders for the fakebooks?

Yes, that is the repeat sign I referred to above.

I've had occasions where a songfile got corrupted and would not remove those darn things.

Seemed to be related to placing the Repeat signs and then placing them somewhere else again, or changing the number of bars inside the repeats, that sort of thing.

In a couple of instances I had no choice but to bite the bullet, hit New and start over from the beginning.

I am doing what you said but I have 4 bars in my progression that I would like to repeat. Really a shortcut instead of filling it in manually.

What folders or fakebooks? From that site? I only downloaded .mgu songs.

Yeah Mac. Good thing the song is only a learning tool and not too elaborate. I will need to start over again. No loss, I now know not to use repeats.

Cheers!

Using your computer navigate to C:\bb

Check the Folders there, one says Fakebook

Sub folders in there..

If you want to repeat just a few bars, enter them and copy and paste them further along.

Some folks like to take a song and expand it into one long one rather than have say 16 bars times 3 repeats, that's an option in the menus to do that.

They have songs in them if it says fake, there are classical ones, and folk ones, and some are just demos made to show off the styles or realinstruments drums etc.

Are you sure it isn't just your chorus that is being repeated? You can adjust this by just setting the beginning bar, end bar, and number of choruses using those three buttons on the main screen. If you have added repeats to your song using the Edit Repeats and Endings dialog, go there (Edit menu | repeats/codas/endings) and click on Edit List, and it will show you all the repeats in your song there...

Why don't you just post your file at one of those free file upload sites.
