Today I received the Biab 2010 UltraPlusPack upgrade, USB version. Two problem: if I run the pre-installed program from this USB device there is no sound for RealTracks except for Bass. There is also no sound for midi tracks when I use the VST/DXi Synth. When I run Biab 2009.5 from my external hard disk or C-drive if have no sound problems.

Did you open the Dxi properly and check the volumes on all the tracks?

Good point John. I didn't load the plugin in Biab at all. I assumed that was done automatically. Thanks.

Good one John!
Also, not sure if this applies to you, but if you are using a 64 bit OS (Win 7 for example) the Roland VSC won't load. Not sure why, Peter and staff are working on it at the moment.

Bought the upgrade today and installed it. I see the same thing. Start playing a bluegrass realtrack file using . It starts off just fine, around measure 4 the guitars and banjos drop out and by measure 7 all I have is the bass. Midi dropped out around measure 3. Did all the upgrades before I ran the program. Kept my old copy of 2009.5 on the hardrive in a different folder and it plays the same song with no problem at all, same as it did yesterday before the upgrade. Using the driving bluegrass style.
Typical PC just like everyone else has. Windows XP - standard generic stuff.

This, copied from another thread where it worked for the guy, may help: Quote:

Some have reported that after disabling the fast generation, rebooting, then re-enabling fast generation, that they have gotten it to work and stay working.
Others have reported that they also had to invoke a DXi synth like the VSC DXi, then reboot the computer, then they can turn the DXi back off and go back to their external MIDI synth (this after trying the above dance with the fast generation/reboot first) and that has made the fast generation work for them. Seems to work permanently afterwards.
Don't know if that is the case with all systems and situations, though.
And I'm sure that development is on the case and will come up with a permanent coding solution to the problem soon.

Hi,
This problem seems to happen on some specific XP systems, if you haven't ever used DX, and we're working on fixing it. In the mean-time, you could fix it by disabling fast generation in the RealTracks Settings, however there is a better solution - one thing you could do is use a DXi/VSTi synth for your MIDI playback. If you are using a hardware synth and don't want to use a DXi, you can instead do this:
-Audio menu-Drivers/settings
-select 'use realtime plugins' and press Edit.
-select any plugin, like PG Peak Limit (select bypass if you don't actually want to use the plugin).
-close the window and you shouldn't have that problem anymore.
