As most of you know I come from the midi side of BiaB. I consider RB and RT to be specialty tools that I use on occasion, thus I only had a few of the original RealStuff. The UltraPlusPak HD deal was just to temping so I jumped on it. These still will be specialty tools for me but now I have a lot more options. Here is the message I attached to the song on Kara-Moon: This song was completely composed by Band-in-a-Box (BiaB) using RealTracks only. All I did was to input a simple 12 bar blues pattern and let BiaB do its thing. I saved the initial guitar and backing track wavs then in BiaB I replaced the guitar with a blues harp then a sax. I saved the harp and sax tracks the mixed them with the guitar parts in Sonar. The only thing I did was to solo each lead part for 12 bar sections. That is 12 bars of guitar leads, 12 bars of blues harp, 12 bars of sax then repeat the process. I did NO processing and/or cut and pasting here. It’s as generated by the computer. The song is RT Blues however the real title is “You Don’t Have to be a Musician to Play the Blues BLUES” Enjoy it for what it is.

RealDope, Mario! LOL!!!! Seriously, this is great, my friend!!! Mute some of the solos in certain places and add some vocals to it. Load the .wav files into RB or whatever DAW you use, then mix down. Great stuff. Nice progression, nice choice of instruments as well! Cheers, Mike

Mario, Very nice playing but as Mac so eloquently put it . . . where's the keys, especially the B3? IMHO I think they will put this blues riff over the top man. After hearing this one I have no doubt as to the healing status of the hands, I'd say they are back ma man! Later,

Now, I have to admit bias here -- you told us it was all RT's to begin with. As I listened I said to myself "Kevin", (that's me) "it lacks the human quality". RT's are great in conjunction with someone playing or singing, but all by themselves they are a little flat. Now, truthfully, it started off great, but as it went on ..... I am big RT fan and I use them a lot -- but we've got to remember that there is no substitute for what a person can do.

Thanx all. This is all RT and RB because I was experimenting with them. As explained in my initial message there is no processing done, just raw RT and RB. That is why there is no “organics” here. I posted this because I thought they did an outstanding job for COMPUTER GENERATED SONG, nothing more and nothing less. I should have called this what a DAW does after hours! Actually I did have a piano/keyboard/B3 player at the gig. However that pot smoking whisky drinking bum was pasted out in the corner while this after hour jam was going on

Man I thought you played the git lead! Seems like I heard a bit of your phrasing in there from time to time.
Merry Christmas,

Impressive, very cool! Sounds like Thursday night open mic jam at our local blues pub. Add in some lousy acoustics and background bar noise and it would be Thursday night open mic.
